I think I followed your forum directions accurately, so if you need anything else let me know! I checked it with my antivirus (avg) and it came up with 28 rootkit errors and a svchost.exe trojan when scanned with mbam so I figured I'd come here for a final solution. I thought I could negate any of these issues by simply reinstalling windows, so I did that but to no avail. Recently I noticed I can't open certain programs up without my computer crashing like clockwork (bsod then restarts).
